Synopsis:

A city boy just out of high-school ends up working for a year out in the woods with a lumber company, living in a village with no convenience stores and – we hope you can believe this because he doesn’t – no cell – phone service! Wrapped inside this clasic screwball comedy is a tale of growing up, of learning respect for yourself, for others, and for the continuities of tradition, with a cast of memorable characters all coming together in a thrilling slapstick sequence that you’ll never see coming.

高中生平野勇氣（染谷將太 飾）自小生活無憂無慮，直至放榜肥佬，考不上大學，女友鄙視提出分手，才驚覺自己前景一片暗淡。就在這時候，他偶然看到「林業見習班」招生，傳單上的宣傳大使更竟然是女神級（長澤正美 飾）！勇氣決定離開大城市，走入深山學斬樹，但入山後，才發現山裡沒有便利店，也沒有手機訊號，有的只是野鹿大蛇怪蟲、野獸般的教官（伊藤英明 飾）、樹和很高的樹！食慣嘆慣的勇氣很快便氣餒，密謀偷走，豈料幻想已久的女神突然出現，激發他捱下去的鬥心。漸漸地，勇氣在一無所有的山上，愛上了古靈精怪的村民，發現人與大自然的連繫，還找到傳統林業的真正意義。
